Who is Chuck Tawney?
A little about myself: I am a lifelong water rat. I grew up in a waterfront home, have been fishing, literally, my entire life. Now at the age of 39, Im very eagerly looking forward to pursuing my professional career. Im willing to do whatever it takes to make my dream, a reality. Fishing is my passion, my escape, my gateway to be creative. Its my life. My strength is versatility, from cranking 2′ of water, to drop shotting 30′, frogs in the grass to jigs in heavy cover, Im not afraid to fish anything, always up for a little challenge. I work hard for my sponsors, promoting them on every level, RemoteMechanic.com, Crooked Creek Tackle, Tru Tungsten and E3, along with volunteering my time to youth, and helping others whenever needed. My name is John Duarte, I am 16 years old and I am from Baltimore, MD.
I am a member of the Jr. Pro-Formance fishing team, FOM mid-Atlantic Legacy Series,and Big Stix Bass Club. In 2009 I won the B.A.S.S. Junior Bassmaster World Championship and in 2010 I came in 4th in place. I’m a 2 time Jr. B.A.S.S. State champion, 2 time mid- Atlantic champion, and 2010 FLW State Champion. I have also won 2 Casting for Kids state championships and one mid- Atlantic championship. I attend Sparrows Point high school, a magnet school that focuses on environmental science. I’m an honor roll student with a GPA of 3.75. I am the starting Point guard for my schools basketball team and team captain. In the future I would like to attend college and then make it to the Elite Series. |
